Salvatore Polisi (1935 – 2015)

It is with a heavy heart that we marked the passing of our own Sal Polisi, master woodcarver, Seaport stalwart for well over thirty years, and gentleman of few peers, earlier this month.

A number of our volunteers and members have sent us kind memories of their experiences with our Master Woodcarver, Sal Polisi. We have placed a book in Bowne Printers for those who knew Sal to write down their remembrances. The book will be given to Sal’s family at the end of February. Please stop by between now and March 7th, any day of the week from 11am-7pm, to write a few words about Sal and his contributions to everyone who visited or worked at the Seaport.

If you are unable to come in, you may also send an email to info@seany.org with the subject line “For Sal’s Remembrance Book.”

Thank you to all of those who have sent messages already. It has been heartwarming to all of us who work at the Museum to hear so many stories about a man who has meant so much to us.
