In 2018 the Seaport Museum advanced its efforts to engage New Yorkers and visitors with the Seaport—the birthplace of New York City. We set and achieved three key goals for the year: phase one of the activation of the 1885 sailing ship Wavertree, the restoration of the 1930 wooden tugboat W.O. Decker, and a four-month collaborative voyage along the Erie Canal. We were able to accomplish these goals because of charitable support from donors like you. I ask you to continue your support as we move into 2019, plan for an ambitious realignment of the Museum’s physical spaces, and take steps toward a bright future for the Seaport Museum.
