Learn More About ARM Cuauhtémoc

The training ship Cuauhtémoc was built at the Celaya Shipyards in Bilbao, Spain in 1981. This ship was acquired by the Mexican Navy to address the need for a unit dedicated exclusively to the training of captains, officers, cadets, and members of the class and seamen. To date, 31 generations of officers have graduated from the Heroic Naval Military School on her decks. She has participated in major regattas around the globe, including the Columbus Regatta, the Cutty Sark Regattas, and the Osaka Port Modernization Centenary Regatta; as well as the Yachting Festivals of Rouen, France; Portsmouth, England; Dundee, Scotland; Delfzijl, Holland; Bordeaux, France; and Rostock, Germany.
