Request for Proposals for Casework, Millwork, and Glass Enclosures
The South Street Seaport Museum seeks qualified fabricators to provide casework and millwork including glazed enclosures to be installed in the first three floors of the A.A. Thomson & Co. Warehouse, a recently renovated 19th century commercial building, located at 213-215 Water Street.
The project scope is to provide casework to display artifacts and archival materials from the Seaport Museum’s collections and archives on the first three floors of the Thomson Warehouse, showcasing many artifacts from the Museum’s collections and archives that have not been shown to the public in over two decades. This will be a survey-type of display, unpacking both objects and stories from the Museum’s holdings, with three underlying themes, one for each floor.
