The Seaport Museum is open Wed-Sun 11-5. Your free admission includes access to our indoor galleries and tall ship Wavertree. Tickets may be reserved separately for free guided tours of lightship Ambrose as well as the free family-oriented discovery room Seaport Discovery: Exploring Our Waters with Eric Carle. Seaport Discovery: Exploring Our Waters with Eric Carle

Discover maritime-themed art by Eric Carle, the beloved creator of picture books for young children, and step into his works with huge immersive murals and activities.

1885 Tall Ship Wavertree

Visit the flagship of the Museum's fleet and learn how people worked and lived aboard a 19th century cargo sailing vessel—from the captain to the ship’s officers, cooks, and crew.

1908 Lightship Ambrose

Tour multiple decks of this National Historic Landmark to see the living and working spaces once inhabited by sailors, as well as the special features that allow the ship to fulfill its mission. Tours are free with a General Admission tickets but selection of timed-entry is required.
