About the 1868 A.A. Thomson & Co. Warehouse

This Italianate cast iron and stone warehouse was designed by renowned New York City architect Stephen D. Hatch in 1868 for Alexander and William A. Thomson of A. A. Thomson & Co. metal and tin business.

About the 1835–1836 Hart-Havens-Lauderback Buildings

These three brick buildings are excellent examples of the Greek Revival style, which flourished in New York City during the 1830s and 1840s. David Louderback (active early 19th century), who initially owned 211 Water St., built all three commercial buildings.

About the 1810–1812 Schermerhorn Row

Schermerhorn Row helped to usher in a new age of commercial architecture. It was a Georgian-Federal style structure built for commerce alone, known as a counting-house. It combined storefronts, offices, and warehouses into one building.

About the 1850 A.A. Low Building

This masonry, cast iron, and timber-framed landmarked building was built in 1850 for the A.A. Low & Brothers, a prominent China Trade export firm that was active well past the end of the 19th century. The company was New York’s most successful firm in the China Trade.
